Soy Style: Did You KnOH? Comment Competition
OFFICIAL RULES
SPONSOR. The “Soy Style: Did You KnOH? Comment Competition” (“Contest”) is sponsored by Cargill, Incorporated, Mail Stop #69 15407 McGinty Road West, Wayzata, MN 55391-5624 (“Sponsor”).
TERM. The Contest begins July 13, 2009, and continues until July 29, 2009, at 11:59 PM PST (“Contest Period”). Daily blogs will be posted by Sponsor during the Contest Period to www.experiencebioh.com Entrant’s comments must be posted to that day’s blog by 11:59 PM PST of the same day to be eligible for winning the daily prize.
ELIGIBILITY. Contest is open to individuals 18 years of age or older at the time of entry who posts a comment to the daily blog post on www.experiencebioh.com. Employees, officers and directors of Cargill, Incorporated, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and agents, their immediate families (defined as parents, spouses, children, siblings and grandparents) and those with whom such persons are domiciled are NOT eligible. Eligibility may be verified at any time. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Contest is void where prohibited by law.
AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES. Participation in the Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and all decisions of Sponsor.
HOW TO ENTER:
LIMIT: One (1) entry per person per day; if more than one comment is entered, then only the first comment will be eligible for the daily prize. To be eligible, entrant must submit comment(s) to www.experiencebioh.com at the bottom of the current daily blog post by end of day at 11:59 PM PST. Once entrant clicks on the link and is directed to the Contest entry/blog post page, select the “Comments” link below the current daily blog to add a comment. Entrant will be asked to provide their first and last name, email address, website (optional) and blog comment entry. To submit the entry entrant must provide the requested information and click the “Post” button. All eligible comments will be considered by the BiOH Polyols team the following day.
Proof of electronically submitting an entry will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. In the event that entrant’s contact information changes during the Contest Period, it is entrant’s responsibility to notify Sponsor of such change. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an online entrant, entries made online will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder for that e-mail address. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet service provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain.
HOW TO WIN: Winning entrant: One (1) winning entrant will be selected each day during the Contest Period by Sponsor’s BiOH Polyols team based on the following criteria: (i) relevance to daily blog post, (ii) reference to information featured in the daily blog post, (iii) creative and/or interesting insights, and (iv) interest generated from other readers of the daily blog post. No purchase is necessary. Winning is contingent upon entrant fulfilling all requirements of these Official Rules. Sponsor’s decisions as to the administration of the Contest and prize awards are final. Sponsor will notify the winners by e-mail and post winners on the blog within three business (3) days of the Contest Period ending, in accordance with the information provided by the entrant. Winning entrants must sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and a liability release within fourteen (14) days of receipt of those documents or the prize may be forfeited. Where a prize is forfeited, an alternate winning entrant will be chosen from the remaining eligible entries. Alternate winners will continue until prize has been awarded. If the winning entrant cannot be contacted for any reason within ten (10) business days, is ineligible, fails to claim his or her prize, or, fails to return the completed and executed Affidavit/Releases within the required time, the winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected by Sponsor.
PRIZES: The daily winning entrant will receive a $100 cash prize paid in a VISA cash card. Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received and meeting the judging criteria. Prizes will be mailed to each winning entrant within ten (10) days of Sponsor providing notification to that eligible winning entrant who fulfills all requirements stated in these Official Rules, including returning the signed affidavit of eligibility and liability release. Winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes on prizes. GENERAL TERMS: Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules, and to the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final in all respects. The winning entrant agrees to the use (unless prohibited by law) of their name, city, state of residence, photograph and/or likeness for advertising, trade, promotional and other purposes and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known without further compensation, permission or notification (except where prohibited by law). BY RECEIPT OF ANY CONTEST PRIZE, WINNING ENTRANT AGREES TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR AND ITS RELATED PARTIES, AND EACH OF THEIR RESPECTIVE AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST OR RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections, miscommunications, failed phone, computer or telephone transmissions or technical failure, jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions, or other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic or otherwise or for any damage to entrant’s or other person’s hardware or software as a result of participation. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules. In the event the Contest is compromised by virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend or terminate the Contest or any portion thereof and/or terminate the participation of any participant (and void his or her entries) whose conduct potentially compromises the Contest.
