These days, Jeff Malsam keeps a clock set to several time zones. He is leading the BiOH polyols international business initiative and sees BiOH polyols as a welcome addition in the global marketplace.
“Ten years from now,
bio-based products will be
common–across all different
foam products.”
While the green trend is catching on in the United States, the European market’s appetite for environmental awareness is well established and growing. Jeff is collaborating with potential partners in Europe, Asia and Latin America on how BiOH polyols align with the increasing consumer desire for eco-friendly products.
Malsam started out as a chemical engineer, graduating from Cornell University. His current responsibility as the BiOH polyols International Business Development Manager challenges him to target and meet potential customers, share the BiOH story and ensure high service levels once they sign on.
“The BiOH polyols business in Cargill has an opportunity to establish itself as the premier bio-based polyol company across the globe,” he says. “We also have the opportunity to show the marketplace that using bio-based materials in polyurethane foam is not only a responsible choice but also economically viable and operationally practical.”
Malsam also makes a prediction: “Ten years from now bio-based products will be common—across all different foam products.”
The folks at Cargill are counting on it. You can, too.
