Cargill had the customer in mind when they hired Jessica Koster, product manager for Cargill’s BiOH polyols business.
Did you know the furniture industry is only one application for BiOH polyols? Other businesses are enjoying the benefits of BiOH products, too. You may be sitting on foam made with BiOH polyols in your car or sleeping on mattress foam made with the polyols soon.
Since the launch of the BiOH brand, Koster has marketed Cargill’s transformative BiOH polyols as an exciting ingredient brand to furniture makers and designers; her efforts are paying off. Several upholstery manufacturers have signed on in North America. The business is growing in other geographic markets. Koster has contributed to Cargill’s success since she held an undergraduate internship there through Iowa State University. Cargill hired her full time in 2001 as a Supply Chain Analyst. She flourished in her job by day and earned her MBA at night. When the BiOH polyol business was looking for a product manager in 2005, they snapped up Jessica.
She smiles as she notes rising visits to the BiOH.com site, inquiries from the furnishings industry and the rail cars of BiOH polyols rolling to foam plants across the country.
Thanks to her leadership, today’s thriving companies in the industry tout that they, too, are looking to more responsible choices for their products.
